How to Make Flowers Last Longer

Always use clean vases or containers. This will prevent any bacteria from ruining the quality of the flowers.
Remove all of the leaves which will be under the water while in the vase. Leaves that are submerged will rot, thus creating bacteria and shortening the life span of your flowers.
Always add the cut flower food supplied to you by your floral provider, to the water in the vase. Change the water and flowers food every three to four days.
Our grower fresh flowers are shipped when they are in bud or half open, which is the recommended state to pick flowers. You will then have the pleasure of seeing them slowly open up, this also increases the life span of your flowers.
Never place your florist arrangements in full sun or over a radiator. This will cause excess water loss from the flowers, and they will wilt very quickly. For a maximum life span the best place for your flowers is in a cool room.

There are many beautiful aspects to Japan, but for me the absolute winner is seeing Japan in cherry blossom season. The bountiful gorgeous blooms that might cover historic temples or pop up between skyscrapers and everywhere else in between are for me the most photogenic sight in the world, and really something that makes my heart leap at their beauty.

Getting the timing right to enjoy cherry blossom season in Japan is a bit tricky, cherry blossoms start to bloom in January, and in far northern Hokkaido, they usually bloom in May – everywhere else is somewhere in between, with an average blooming date in Tokyo and Osaka of around late March or early April.

The best cherry blossom photos I have are usually combined with beautiful historic temples or castles.

Birds feeding in Winter

If you plan on feeding wild birds this winter, here's a few tips you'll want to keep in mind. The main one being, if you do start feeding wild birds in your backyard this winter, don't stop until Spring arrives. It wouldn't be nice if we traveled many hungry miles for a good meal at our favorite restaurant only to find out that there was no food available to eat when we got there. Always have plenty of seed and water available for the birds. Birds will burn many calories over the winter months and need high fat foods to help them sustain their high body temperatures. Wild birds can be fed suet and peanut butter to supplement their fat intake that they don't receive from seeds.
Black sunflower seed is higher in fat content than striped sunflower seed and should always be available for the many varieties of birds passing through your backyard. If you had a plot of wildflowers growing this year, cut back the seed heads and store these in a dry place for offering to the birds in the dead of winter. Other common seeds, besides sunflower seed, for feeding wild birds in the winter include millet, niger, thistle, safflower and cracked corn. Save yourself some money and buy only seeds and grain that you know your birds will eat. Most mixed feeds contain filler seed that the majority of birds will not eat. If you wish to keep the squirrels away from your bird feeders, keep a squirrel feeder filled with corn and unsalted peanuts for these little guys. Make sure the squirrel feeder is located well away from the bird feeders, but still in view so you can watch them play in the snow this winter.

Colorful Tulips

Tips for Tulips Care

Leave tulips in the wrap and place in a vase of water under a light source, for about an hour before arranging. This will help to keep the tulips upright for longer. Tulips tend to curve towards the light.

Remove any leaves that may be under water.

While holding the stems under water in a sink or under running water, cut about one inch off each stem with a sharp knife or shears. DO NOT let the newly cut end dry off before transferring it back to your arrangement or other container.

Water to which a good floral preservative has been added is the best solution in which to arrange fresh cut tulips. Using it as recommended will provide additional days of vase life. Avoid using water from a water softener.

Immediately after the stems are cut, place your tulips in a clean, deep vase of warm preservative solution (about 100 degrees F). If possible leave them in a cool dark room or refrigerator to 'condition' for 2 or 3 hours after arranging.

Temperature is key to the lifespan of flowers.

Display your fresh cut tulip arrangements in a cool area out of direct sunlight and drafts.

Tulips are heavy drinking flowers. It is important to check to see that the vase is full and add preservative solution often. Be sure foam materials are completely saturated and the container is full
daily.

The nature of love, and how the capacity to love develops, has become the subject of scientific study over the last decade. New data is emerging from a multitude of disciplines including neurology, psychology, biology, ethology, anthropology and neurocardiology. Something scientific disciplines find in common when putting love under the microscope is that in addition to shaping the brains of infants, mother's love acts as a template for love itself and has far reaching effects on her child's ability to love throughout life.
To mothers holding their newborn babies it will come as little surprise that the 'decade of the brain' has lead science to the wisdom of the mother's heart.

Roses

A rose is a flowering shrub of the genus Rosa, and the flower of this shrub. There are more than a hundred species of wild roses, all from the northern hemisphere and mostly from temperate regions. The species form a group of generally prickly shrubs or climbers, and sometimes trailing plants, reaching 2–5 meters tall, occasionally reaching as high as 20 meters by climbing over other plants.

Rose hips are sometimes eaten, mainly for their vitamin C content. They are usually pressed and filtered to make rose hip syrup, as the fine hairs surrounding the seeds are unpleasant to eat (resembling itching powder). They can also be used to make herbal tea, jam, jelly and marmalade. A rose that has aged or gone rotten may not be particularly fragrant, but the rose's basic chemistry prevents it from producing a pungent odor of any kind. Notably, when balled and mashed together the fragrance of the rose is enhanced. The fragrance of particularly large balls of mashed roses is enhanced even further. Rose hips are also used to produce an oil used in skin products. Rose shrubs are often used by homeowners and landscape architects for home security purposes. The sharp thorns of many rose species deter unauthorized persons from entering private properties, and may prevent break-ins if planted under windows and near drainpipes. The aesthetic characteristics of rose shrubs, in conjunction with their home security qualities, makes them a considerable alternative to artificial fences and walls.

Katrina Kaif

Born on July 16, 1984 Katrina Kaif is one of eight siblings, all girls, from a mother who is a Caucasian of British Nationality, and a father who was formerly from Kashmir, India, but who has since acquired British citizenship.
Katrina grew up in Hawaii, but was brought up in London, UK. She started modeling accidentally when she was in Hawaii at the tender age of 14, when she was approached for a jewelery campaign. Thereafter she continued modeling in London.

Continuing to model was the reason she got her break in a Bollywood movie "Boom" offered by none other than film-maker Kaizad Gustad.

She was flooded with modeling assignments the minute she set her foot on Indian soil, especially with her innocent expressive face, hour-glass figure, and drop-dead gorgeous looks.

This is the way back from Dudipatsar.Very still and calm nature no humans still there to disturb the natural environment.

This is Naran Valley Pakistan .This way leads to Lalazar a beautiful meadows.

One of the many beautiful Lakes in Pakistan.Its come after six hour trekking from the last known Town.Thats why it is still in undisturbed state.Yellow flowers have spread all over near it.

The Hill Station which one can not afford to miss. Once the forest was thick and dense but due to selling and burning of wood by locals make the forest the to scattered. And now unfortunately damaged badly by earthquake. Don't know about the locals whether they escape or not from the tragedy. I think the beauty of this hill station is somewhat bitter first damaged by cutting of trees and now by earthquake.

A Hidden Lake Karumbar in Pakistan

Here is the picture of a hidden lake in Shimshal valley, Pakistan.

Ushu nad Utror valleys of Swat are Beautiful at least they are still covered with thick forests which become very rare nowadays in Pakistan because people used to cut each and every tree in forests and used them as fuel or sell them.

This beautiful lake is located in the hindukush mountains of Pakistan. It is still unseen by most of the Pakistani people due to difficulties in reaching this Lake. It is near to Chitral & Gilgit.

The yellow fields along with light green and mostly yellow leaves created a beautiful combination for me. this is Mingora, Swat Valley, Pakistan.

Dudipatsar lake is still hidden from the tourist attraction. this extremely beautiful lake is located in Kaghan Valley.

Ushu valley in Swat is truly one of the most beautiful valleys in Pakistan.Swat Valley is termed as the little Switzerland of Pakistan.

Located in Kaghan Valley Pakistan. This lake is one of the most beautiful in Pakistan.

Lalazar is a hill Station in Kaghan Valley, Pakistan Very near to Kashmir. this area is badly affected by earthquake.

The beautiful color contrasts of Mahodand lake. The name of the lake means seven lake so Mahodand is not the name of one lake but seven different lakes one after the other. The lakes are although smaller in size but the first lake of these Dands (Lake) becomes quite larger in the months of June and July.

A waterfall located at Pir Ghaib near Bolan in Balochistan. It is so blue and Beautiful that we cant even think that it is located inside the barren landscape.

Mahodand Lake is located in the north of Pakistan. Its just few kilometers ahead of ushu valley. And the views are breathtaking.

The fantastic Scenery when going towards Gwadar. The mountains starts starts 250 kilometers after Karachi. And than the Buzzy Pass comes with this magnificent sceneries.

Kandol Lake is one of the lake which is in undisturbed state because of difficult but beautiful trek of 2:30 hours. It can be reached from Ushu Valley or Kalam with a local guide. And you will witness such sceneries in the world which you cannot find anywhere in the world. Believe me for this.

A beautiful valley of river, mountains and snow.

The beautiful view of the village name "Lawat" in State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir surrounded by thick forests all around it.

The chair lift at Malam jabba will take you to the height of 11,500 ft wheras the Malam Jabba resort is located at 10,500 ft from Sea Level. Although the way to reach top from Chair Lift is very easy but the Hiking has its own pleasure and i enjoyed hiking to top from here. Although not quite difficult for regular hikers but it can be the first hike of new hikers also.

The Beautiful Peak by the name of "Braak Zhan" in Raikot Glacier in Pakistan. The Lush Green meadows lying below the peak. This is the Last strong hold of western Himalayas before meeting with Karakoram Mountains. In eastern part of North Pakistan and western Kashmir the Himalaya mountains are blessed with lush green Meadows and the beautiful evergreen forests.

The Beautiful valley of Shimshal Situated in the Pamir mountains in Pakistan. Northern Pakistan is the place where 4 most important mountain ranges of the world meet that includes Himalayas, Karakorams, Hindukush and the Pamir Range. A lake is also there inside the mountains.

Truly one of the most beautiful valley in Pakistan. Its undisturbed and pristine forests have make it Far more beautiful than its neighboring valleys where deforestation and tourism has ruined the natural beauty. The valley of beautiful meadows and flowers, One of the last remained beautiful valleys of Himalayas in south Asia.
Let us do something to save this valley this is the last Saved beautiful valley of Himalayas in Pakistan after 3 other beautiful valleys (namely Kaghan, Swat and Neelum) have been partially ruined by deforestation.( Although upper Neelum valley is still Pristine to some extent but Swat and kaghan valleys have been badly damaged by deforestation).
Have a beautiful view of it.

Note: This area is very rich in Mammals and birds species due to its undisturbed nature fortunately WWF has recognized the importance of these Himalayan Forests and probably will do something to protect this i hope so in the coming years. The quality of the picture is not like digital cameras due to the usage of an old camera. The valley is far more beautiful than picture.
